Shell and leather chocker necklace
Finished this lovely shell necklace; made with sand dollar shells. I braided a leather chocker, carefully drilled the shells and attached them with silver jump rings.
I cast the silver shell in my workshop shed, using the sand casting method and my electric casting crucible. It came out well, but still takes an amazing amount of time to grind off the sprue, sand and polish to a good finish. But it looks lovely!
